Dexion is the company I am currently working for. This is a Drawer system from their Commercial range. It was initially created as an intricate detailed model in Inventor and then eventually exported into CAD production drawings. Inventor is a parametric technical drawing software similar to other titles like Solid Works, Solid Edge and Pro-Engineer. Since Discreet also produces AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max/Viz., the file is quite diverse between software. In this design process an Inventor 3D model was created, then 2D technical drawings was easily extracted from the model. Lighting, texturing and animations would be applied in 3D Studio Max/Viz.
